My heart is heavy for those trapped in "the life," but my heart is full and overflowing at the efforts of those who have overcome and are now giving their best to help others.
My friend Stefanie from Grit into Grace, Inc. is working with a host of volunteers and donors to transform the broken-down house you see in the photo into a beautiful residence for women coming out of sex-trafficking. We would love to have you join us in making the dream come true. Every gift is appreciated, and a little goes a long way when enough people get involved.
About fixmyhalo.com
When I wrote Moonlight Awakens I imagined my character searching for a safe place to hide, a way out, and a place that could help her heal.
I invented fixmyhalo.com.

When I first heard about sex trafficking, I thought it related to girls from overseas brought to the US on false pretenses and enslaved. Then I heard about scattered cases across the US.
It didn't take much investigation to uncover the bitter truth that sex trafficking is everywhere, and it's much more than most of us thought.
I won't offer any statistics, because the victims are not statistics. They're daughters and sons and mothers and transgender persons and, sometimes babies.

Three people and three organizations inspired and influenced
Moonlight Awakens.
My daughter Julia interned with The Skipping Stone. They rescue women and girls from the sex industry in India. They provide necessities, training, skills, and jobs to lift these women and girls from enslavement to the only life they've known when they could see no way out. To learn more and buy their products,
go to theskippingstone.com.

Kim Tabor has a heart for women. She is an author, speaker, performing artist, and founder of Stripped Free. She and her team go into strip clubs every week and love the girls without condition, without judgment. She shows women the treasure they are—so much more than objects—and more valuable than gold. Visit her website to see her efforts or visit Stripped Free on Facebook.
In a world full of tension, we need a place to diffuse, a place to find rest and hope. I want my blog to be such a place for you.
